Minetta (Unknown (未知))

The Minetta is a ‘HIT type’ subminiature camera, made in Japan around 1960. As with its cousins (the Minetta Camera and the Minetta Foreign), it takes 17.5mm film.
According to the Mike Parker’s excellent book ‘The Hit Project’, the Minettas are all classified as QP-style cameras. If anyone has a QP camera for sale, I’d love to add it to the collection.

- Submin : this is a great collection of these ‘HIT type’ subminiature cameras

Hi
I have a Minetta camera from the sixties. The picture size is 14mm X 14mm. Its still with the original packaging. Also it has a leather case and some original film still boxed. (PAL panchro film). I was wondering if its worth anything. Would you happen to know this.

Hi Danny,
There are three basic varieties of these - the ‘Minetta’, ‘Minetta Camera’ and ‘Minetta Foreign’. All very similar, though the scarcity changes a bit depending where you are in the world.
They generally sell for $30 - $50 in good condition.
